Week in Review

It was a busy week and I wasn't as good at keeping up with the blog as I have been earlier this summer.  We did some good training though, and I managed to snap a range of pictures through the week, so I'll let the pictures guide the story.

Tuesday afternoon - a great session of Speed Disc Golf (SDG?) with the Prep/Devo Summer crew.

Wednesday evening we had a great skate roll up the Old Nenana Hwy from UAF.  It features a nice 6k uphill climb.

Besides building a foundation of endurance and strength or third goal this summer is to build speed.  Here the boys throw in a burst.

Getting safely to the side of the road comes with the added bonus of improving your upper body strength.

Like a mother and her ducklings: this was Nick's last week with us before he heads back Down Under.

Duh Boys

We started Thursday's Prep/Devo session with some time on the slackline.  Here's Abigail.

I like Logan's (green shirt)  reaction on this one!  (He was the victim of an accidental pole stabbing from Everett a couple of weeks ago...)

Kevin has worked hard this past month and it is really showing.

Strength after the agility and some speed.

Kyle, band rotations.

While much of the group biked in the Chena Hot Springs Ride, a few of us that helped with an aid station went for a hike and run around the Granite Tors loop in the early evening.  Here Kyle and Kevin explore the first tor.

Not a bad OD for a J2 - no shortcuts on this one!
