We had a good session this evening. The focus was on upper body power and endurance. After a warm-up we hit up Lawlor Drive and did 4 sets that lasted about 12 minutes - each including about 4 or 5 60-meter repeats. The first set focused on single-sticking and in particular making full motions with the arms from a good body position, the second set was the locked-and-loaded (core-only) drill to emphasize initiating forcefully from the core during the double pole, the third set was double-pole starts, and the final set were kick double pole repeats. Once we finished with the power work, we went for a 45-minute double pole to finish the session off.
Things rolled smoothly - the group was focused, on task and energetic, and showed signs of improvement from previous sessions this summer. Some pics:

| Once again, we had great spot-lighting from Mother Nature: tough to beat a sunny night in AK during the summer. |
