Girdwood Day 2

Well, we are pretty slow here on the updates.  Lots of training the first couple of full days (some athletes close to 5 hours of training), 4.5 hours of 15-20 minute meetings with each of the athletes yesterday hasn't left much time to try to find some wireless to pirate.

Anyway, here are some pictures from our first full day in Girdwood.  We started the day of with some agility and speed on skate skis at the Girdwood Elementary school, finishing the morning with some relays.  In the afternoon we enjoyed the 1km of smooth pavement and slight uphill terrain at the start of Crow Creek Road for some double pole intervals before heading back to the school for some strength.

The Sway drill to work on lateral mobility and strength after our warm-up jog.

One foot lateral cone hop for dynamic balance/agility.

Slaloms on skis.

No pole starts to work on using our legs and accelerating with just our legs.

Relays with a couple of circles thrown in for more pack-skiing.

This damn video game gets kind of annoying, but the boys seem to like it :)
